Orthodontist | Clear Aligner and Orthodontic Treatments

Orthodontist Çağrı Şibal is a dentist specialized in orthodontics. Following his dental education, he achieved a significant academic distinction by ranking 1st nationwide in Turkey in the 2012 Examination for Specialization in Dentistry (DUS).

He completed his orthodontic specialty training at the Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Hacettepe University. During his specialty training, he completed his thesis on protraction systems used in patients with maxillary growth deficiency and qualified as an Orthodontist.

Throughout his academic and professional career, he has been actively involved not only in clinical orthodontics but also in dental education and specialist examination preparation programs. He has provided theoretical training for dentists, served as a coordinator in clinical sciences, and contributed as an author and/or editor to numerous academic and examination preparation books.

Keeping up to date with contemporary orthodontic treatment approaches and technological developments, Orthodontist Çağrı Şibal has participated in national and international training programs, courses, meetings, and scientific events covering clear aligner treatments, modern orthodontic mechanics, lingual orthodontics, orthodontic treatments during growth and development, and multidisciplinary orthodontic approaches.

Including both published and forthcoming works, he has contributed as an author and/or editor to 14 different scientific and educational publications.

Education and Orthodontic Specialization

Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry

Çağrı Şibal began his dental education at the Faculty of Dentistry, Ankara University in 2007.

Ranked 1st Nationwide in the 2012 DUS

Following his dental education, he ranked 1st nationwide in Turkey in the 2012 Examination for Specialization in Dentistry (DUS).

Orthodontic Specialty Training at Hacettepe University

Following his achievement in the DUS, he continued his specialist training at the Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Hacettepe University.

During his specialty training, he conducted clinical and scientific studies on orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning, the evaluation of orthodontic problems during growth and development, and various orthodontic treatment approaches.

As part of his specialty training, he completed his thesis entitled “Comparison of Two Different Systems Used for Protraction in Patients with Maxillary Growth Deficiency” and qualified as an Orthodontist.

Academic Career

Bezmiâlem University Faculty of Dentistry

Following his orthodontic specialty training, he worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, Bezmiâlem University.

During this period, he taught undergraduate dental students, contributed to postgraduate education programs, and supported students in both theoretical and clinical training processes.

Dental Education and Academic Teaching

In addition to his clinical orthodontic practice, Orthodontist Çağrı Şibal has been involved for many years in educational activities for dentists and candidates preparing for the Examination for Specialization in Dentistry.

DUSTIME

At DUSTIME, he teaches Theoretical Orthodontics within the Clinical Dental Sciences curriculum for dentists preparing for the Examination for Specialization in Dentistry and also serves as Clinical Sciences Coordinator.

DUSDATA

He previously taught Theoretical Orthodontics at DUSDATA.

Through these roles, he has contributed to undergraduate and postgraduate dental education as well as the professional training of dentists preparing for specialty examinations.

Orthodontist Çağrı Şibal has participated in courses, congresses, meetings, and certification programs held in Turkey and abroad in order to follow contemporary orthodontic treatment approaches and continue his professional development.

Clear Aligners and Digital Orthodontics

He attended the Current Approaches to Orthodontic Treatment with eCligner and Clear Aligners training program delivered by Prof. Dr. TaeWeon Kim.

These training sessions covered contemporary approaches to orthodontic treatment using clear aligner systems.

Lingual Orthodontics

He participated in the Lingual Technique Course and Certification Meeting organized by TOP-Service Lingualtechnik / Incognito.

He also attended the Incognito training and certification program entitled “Current Approaches and Problem-Solving in Lingual Technique.”

He attended the Harmony SL Certification Course organized by American Orthodontics and became a Harmony system practitioner following the training.

FACE Orthodontic Philosophy and Advanced Orthodontics

As part of the FACE orthodontic approach, he attended the “Mixed Dentition Treatment of FACE Philosophy” course presented by Dr. Jorge Ayala.

He participated in the FACE Meeting held in Madrid and also attended the FACE Advanced Orthodontics International Course delivered by Dr. Domingo Martin and Dr. Renato Cocconi.

MBT Treatment Philosophy

He attended the MBT Treatment Philosophy training program delivered by Dr. Richard McLaughlin.

3M Unitek Orthodontic Training

He participated in the “Innovations and Clinical Experience in Orthodontics” training program organized by 3M Unitek.

He attended the Orthognathic Surgery meeting held in Parma, Italy, presented by Dr. Renato Cocconi and Dr. Mirco Raffaini.
